An Ocean in a Drop

We awe at great things. The great Himalayas, the wide spread landscape, sprawling plains, lavish orchard and the rainbow making a vibrant color all surprise us. The Taj Mahal, the Ellora Cave, the Great Falls and the cascades attract us in a magically way. Why?

There are many things that attract us: we find great interest to see them. There are other powerful things that have great potentiality but we fear. Of course they too make us raise our browse. Flood, storm, fire and the diseases are such things that have extreme power but we fear them.

Have we realized that we drink the same water that makes flood? We prefer to sit under the fan switched-on, we warm ourselves in winter and cook the foods daily by fire and we carry germs in our body itself. Yet we fear flood, storm, fire and diseases. This is because we drink ocean by drops, we air our selves by a limited dimension, we cook foods under controllable fire and the few germs do good to us.

We cannot avoid the fact that the very little drops of water make an ocean, the wind that airs us is the part of storm and the same fire that cooks food can burn us to ash when it is thick and the fewer germs if increase in number may endanger our life. This is the power of little things gathered together.

The key to Success is likewise. The very first step taken towards a great goal leads you to great achievement. Who knew Mahatma Gandhi before Satyagraha in South Africa? Before he launched Satyagraha he was just a lawyer and people out-of-concern of law did hardly know him. But how he became an epitome of Non-Violence later? How he led the entire nation to ultimate success? He led India to freedom.

May any one think how he achieved such greatness? Just in a day or in a week or in year? Or at one try? No; not this way. He achieved greatness in a long effort. But where did he star for that great achievement. From the very first step to his life long struggle. He took all the yards by steps: and the first step was the beginning of his life’s journey. Rome is not built in a day!

Can you overlook the truth that a big building is made up by placing one brick at a time, a great mountain is just the assemblage of chips and that the drops of water make an ocean? So if you want to achieve some thing great take the first step towards it. Your perseverance will lead you to take more steps leading to final success that you might have dreamt of.
